Decluttering Your Closet
Flowers blooming, sun shining and pollen everywhere in Atlanta. Its time for spring cleaning. But when you think spring cleaning, you think getting rid of old furniture and junk right? Most people do, but you need to take a look at your closet too!
Take an inventory of your winter clothes and take note of the things that you didn’t wear. You should donate the items that you no longer wear.
Before you put your winter gear away, make sure you give them a good wash. You never know what dust mites might be hiding in your Christmas sweaters.
Once you have all your winter clothes separated from your spring, its time to put it away. But where? Believe it or not, garbage bags work the best. They’re cheap and air tight. Put them in a place that’s dry and won’t get any moisture.
Donating your old clothing can be a great way to declutter. Many local charities including the Salvation Army and the Humane Society Thrift Store of Forsyth accept donated clothing and sell it in their stores to support their charity.
Southern Rubbish takes many items to donation in the area and if you have any questions on where to donate, please don’t hesitate to give us a call.
